Memorable Moments 2024: A Successful and Important Year at FTI
As a world-class company committed to excellence, 2024 was especially gratifying for FTI. From established, essential business relationships to new, exciting connections, we’re humbled by the trust put in our capabilities and partnerships.
Yes, in 2024, innovations were conceived and developed, and growth was achieved throughout every aspect of our company. Yet, even more important, FTI’s prioritization of safety for all was lived out by team members within every department.
Our commitment to the total health and well-being of each FTI team member is as strong as ever. Our Culture of Care encourages everyone to bring their whole selves to work — mind, body and soul.
As optimistic as we are upon entering 2025, we want to take a moment to reflect on some highlights from 2024, a truly exceptional year for FTI.
A Year of Change, A Year of Growth
For the company as a whole, it was a chance to fully lean into an updated rebrand, uniting three divisions — Faith Technologies®, EnTech Solutions™ and Excellerate® — under one FTI vision with a seamless culture and a cohesive core value set. In October, we launched a newly expanded FTI website and blog so partners, customers and friends were aware of that shift.
When Safety is Prioritized, the Results are Especially Rewarding
Safety is not only a core value at FTI, but also top of mind every day, resulting in a program that has been recognized nationally. Plus, we’re proud of our 2024 year-end safety numbers as we continue to strive for zero.
- FTI earned a “National Safety Merit Award” at the National Excellence in Construction® Awards during the Associated Builders and Contractors Convention 2024.
- FTI was awarded first place in the “Specialty Contractors Division” by the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of America during the 2024 Construction Safety Excellence Awards (CSEA).
- FTI was selected as the second-place award winner in the “Subcontractor Division” by The Builders, A Chapter of the AGC.
- FTI totaled approximately 8,700,000 work hours yet only experienced 9 total recordables.
- 2024’s Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) of 0.20 is an improvement over 0.40 in 2023. The Lost Time Incident Rate (LTIR) was 0.00.
- FTI’s Experience Modifier Rate (EMR) achieved a score of 0.38. The lowest possible rate is 0.30, with the industry average being 1.0, for companies of similar size and scope of work.
A Shining Example of Workplace Wellness
Wellness includes both physical and mental health. FTI is dedicated to helping make life better for our 3,500+ team members and their families every day. We were honored to be recognized with the following awards in 2024:
- Ranking #80 nationwide, FTI is — for the 9th consecutive year — on the “Healthiest 100 Workplaces in America” list presented by Healthiest Employers. FTI also placed on these regional listings: Atlanta (#4), Kansas City (#4), Tennessee (#3) and Wisconsin (#3).
- The “Mental Health Visionary Award” is given by Construction Working Minds to an organization that is advancing employee well-being through mental health promotion and suicide prevention programs. As a first-time applicant, FTI was recognized in the “large construction company” category (1,500+ employees).
- For the third consecutive year, Mental Health America recognized FTI with the “Platinum Bell Seal for Workplace Mental Health” as an employer committed to creating mentally healthy workplaces.
Developing Our Most Precious Resource: Talent
FTI values our team members as our greatest strength, and we trust their judgment and recommendations. Participation in FTI’s internal referral initiative — A.C.E. (Advocate, Counsel, Encourage) Program — helps add team members who fit our company culture, align with our values and create world-class opportunities to succeed.
- FTI set an all-time record in 2024 for total new hires.
- A record number of team members were nominated throughout 2024 as part of FTI’s Values Recognition Program, a peer-to-peer program recognizing individuals who align with FTI’s four core values.
- Through FTI’s job shadow programs — skilled trades and STEM (new in 2024) — 200 high school students explored a variety of career opportunities, toured a facility, enjoyed hands-on activities and networked with FTI team members.
- During National Apprenticeship Week, FTI was awarded the “Employer of the Year” by the Missouri Department of Higher Education & Workforce Development (MDHEWD) and recognized by having 950+ active apprentices training to be commercial electricians and electronic systems specialists.
- FTI earned the CESA 6 “Youth Apprentice Exceptional Mentor Award” for exemplary contributions to youth apprenticeship and as an advocate for workforce development.
- Youth Apprenticeship Wisconsin presented FTI with the “Exceptional Youth Apprenticeship Mentor Award,” stating that the youth mentorship program “presents a lucrative opportunity for up-and-coming high school graduates to fast-track their earning potential right out of school.”
Expanding Production to Meet Demand
FTI continues to grow in order to fulfill our commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction. That includes developing new products throughout various industries as well as expanding current production capabilities.
- To enhance our high-quality modular electrical work and strengthen our capabilities to train and grow the FTI team, the Olathe, Kansas, Excellerate® division facility expanded by 438,000 square feet in 2024.
- The new facility also houses our accredited Faith Technologies University (FTU) and ensures that training stays in-house, including the job shadow and apprentice programs.
- FTI is one of 10 statewide companies on Insight Publications’ list of “Wisconsin’s Best Places to Work in Manufacturing 2024.”
- FTI’s Excellerate® division efficiently serves customers nationwide, streamlining logistics and enabling rapid response times.
Meeting Customer Needs with Strategic Growth
Through diligent and deliberate strategic growth, FTI is now uniquely positioned as a single-source partner to our customers, providing a comprehensive, end-to-end approach through our total solutions offerings. This effort has opened opportunities and forged new business relationships.
- FTI started dozens of new business relationships (customers, clients, partnerships) in 2024.
- Consolidated teamwork throughout FTI’s three divisions has leveraged comprehensive capabilities and driven successful projects and solutions.
To close out a great year, FTI partnered with 20 deserving charities across the country for the “Making Spirits Bright” holiday giving campaign, donating $22,000 and shining a light on the important work they do every day.
While we’re proud and thankful for the results realized in 2024, we’re even more excited for the opportunities in 2025 and beyond. Thank you to our team members, customers and partners for your continued trust and support. May you enjoy a prosperous and successful new year!
