A new Insight Publications program, featuring a partnership with Workforce Research Group, has identified 10 statewide companies as Wisconsin’s Best Places to Work in Manufacturing for 2024. The companies, which notched the highest scores in an independent Workforce Research Group survey, will be recognized in the November issue of Insight on Manufacturing magazine, as well as at a special event Nov. 13 at Lambeau Field presented by Werner Electric Supply.

It starts with a check-in every morning before work. “Is something going on at home? Did you have an issue over the weekend?” That’s one way Menasha-based Faith Technologies Incorporated is opening mental health conversations with its field workers in hopes to help stem the tide of suicides in the construction industry.

One of the benefits of trips to the Green Bay area for Richard Wisneski is stopping at a fast-charger just outside a Meijer store in Howard. “Fast charging is the main thing if you’re doing any traveling. There are few fast chargers in Wisconsin,” the Shawano resident said shortly after plugging his car in. “This one here just came on this year here in Green Bay. I think the next closest one is probably in Milwaukee.”

CCCT sat down with two women in construction – Senior Preproduction Manager Sara Hutchcraft and Preproduction Manager Okho Bohm from Excellerate, a division of Faith Technologies Incorporated (FTI), that is a national manufactured products company with a focus on electrical assemblies and modular solutions that range from made-to-stock to custom-engineered energy and construction solutions.

Chevron Renewable Energy Group held a ground breaking ceremony on Tuesday, July 9 for a 10 acre solar array it is adding to its biodiesel plant in Mason City. Edgar Castro, the general manager for the plant that will be receiving the array said its purpose is to help reduce the company's carbon foot print when producing biodiesel.

Faith Technologies Incorporated (FTI), a national leader in engineering, construction, manufacturing and clean energy, was recognized with a Sustainability Award by the Rockwell Automation PartnerNetwork. Rockwell Automation is the world’s largest company dedicated to industrial automation and digital transformation. FTI applied Rockwell Automation technologies at a digester facility in Dane County, Wisconsin. The manure from more than 4,000 cows is collectively processed to produce renewable natural gas (RNG). The biogas is captured and further processed into RNG to offset the use of fossil fuels. The RNG is then injected into the pipeline near Madison, Wisconsin, where it provides clean-burning vehicle fuel, reducing emissions by more than 13,500 metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent per year.
